The Story Behind Our Fashion Brand
I, Xenia, invite you on this blog
to an incredible journey through the stories of our fashion brand,
filled with positive energy and the symbolism of the amulet doll.
Born in Rivne (Ukraine) in 1976, Barcelona has been my second home since 2000.
My academic and professional path has always been intertwined with the world of fashion design.
Creativity and personal growth have been driving forces
that have served as a foundation for my artistic endeavors.
However, the pivotal moment in my artistic life occurred when
I discovered the true meaning of the Amulet-doll and witnessed its true magic.
After obtaining my Master's degree in Fashion in 2008,
I lost interest in creativity for several years (it happens sometimes).
A small doll helped me overcome my creative crisis
which I recreated with scraps of linen brought from Ukraine and fragments of childhood memories,
where my grandmother Maña taught me to make Motanka (a Ukrainian rag doll).
Thus, Xenia Tym's debut collection (around 100 pieces) paid tribute to the Amulet-doll.
However, this doll means much more to me than just an artistic project.
Its reappearance in my life in 2010 led me to delve into my own past and spiritually rebirth.
This experience opened my heart to spiritually guided creativity,
guiding me on the path to overcoming fears and realizing my deepest dreams.
In gratitude, I dedicated to the Amulet-doll
collections of paintings, poetic drawings, tales, poems, and songs,
which I presented through various creative projects.
In 2013, I wrote the book "Doll Code" (in Spanish)
to share with the world the magical codes of creativity
from ancestors preserved in dolls.
Since then, with enthusiasm, I have conducted creative workshops
where I teach how to create amulet dolls and master various creative techniques.
These workshops are not only an opportunity
to share the magic and positive symbolism of the Amulet-doll,
but also serve as a creative cure,
improving the emotional and psychological state of those who participate,
while promoting personal creative expression.
In the book, I share my experience of getting to know the Amulet-doll
and my own understanding of this phenomenon,
along with stories of Slavic culture, told by over 50 Amulet-dolls,
along with the rules and traditional techniques of their step-by-step elaboration.
